The first day of the eighth edition of the Africities Summit kicked off in Marrakesh Morocco with thousands of delegates from around the globe converging to the summit that has been dubbed the biggest gathering of local governments. Among those attending the summit is Hamadou Yalcouye who is a town planner with the Regional Development Agency of Bamako district in Mali, says that their involvement in the summit will help them find ways of increasing the capacity of the city of Bamako as they want to emphasise on their local economy.
