February is known as the month of Love, and to express this in its fullest, the Woodlands Mall in South Africa (SA) are ringing the wedding bells with an 'Ek's Verloof Wedding exhibition'. 

The exhibition hosted by Bruidsgids and Wedding Guide, is taking over the mall for two days of inspiration, ideas and indulgence.

Wedding exhibition takes over SA mall in the month of Love

The Chinese Consulate in Johannesburg, South Africa on Monday evening hosted a Chinese New Year 2026 celebration. Observed worldwide — especially across China and East Asia — the Lunar New Year is one of the most significant dates on the Chinese calendar. Also known as the Spring Festival, it marks the transition from winter to spring in the traditional lunisolar calendar. The 15-day celebration symbolises bidding farewell to the past year while welcoming renewal, good fortune, prosperity, happiness and new opportunities. Sudan has announced it is returning to the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD). The return ends a two-year freeze imposed after the regional bloc invited paramilitary commander to peace talks. Anti-corruption movement Transparency International has released the 2025 Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI), highlighting worsening corruption and a decline in leadership globally.The CPI measures perceived levels of public-sector corruption in 182 countries and territories on a scale of zero for highly corrupt  to 100  for very clean, drawing from 13 independent data sources. Nhlanhla Mahlangu reports.
