Two children and a church member were killed at a Global Methodist Church in Nigeria over the weekend. It has been reported that the violence at the church stems from a split in the worldwide United Methodist Church over its decision to repeal its policies against the LGBTQ community- leading to the formation of the new Global Methodist Church by breakaway conservative churches.
The fighting between the two factions in Taraba, a state in northeast Nigeria led to the killings and some homes were set ablaze.
