The UN refugee agency, UNHCR is calling on the international community to act swiftly and generously to tackle the growing number of refugees in Uganda. Since M23 rebels captured a border town in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo over the weekend, more than 2-thousand refugees have crossed into Uganda. According to the UNHCR, more than 50-thousand refugees are expected to cross into Uganda by the end of 2024. Lulu Gaboo spoke to Frank Walusimbi, Associate Communications Officer at UNHCR in Uganda.
