Two South African National Defence Force soldiers were killed and 18 others injured when their logistics base at Sake in the Democratic Republic of Congo was attacked late on Tuesday afternoon.

The attack followed the same pattern as the first attack at the same base in February. The SANDF is part of the Southern Africa regional force in the DRC.
