The European Council President Charles Michel has pledged to work closely with Senegal to address issues like migration and development. His recent arrival in Dakar marked his first trip by a foreign dignitary since the West African country's new president, Bassirou Diomaye Faye took office earlier this month. Michel has told Faye that the European Union has an objective interest in Senegal's challenges of development, economic emergence, and improved living conditions.
