Observed worldwide — especially across China and East Asia — the Lunar New Year is one of the most significant dates on the Chinese calendar. Also known as the Spring Festival, it marks the transition from winter to spring in the traditional lunisolar calendar. The 15-day celebration symbolises bidding farewell to the past year while welcoming renewal, good fortune, prosperity, happiness and new opportunities.
