In the wake of explosive allegations linking senior police officials to organized crime, South African legal expert Advocate Zola Majavu has urged caution.
Majavu has weighed in on the controversy surrounding KwaZulu-Natal province's police commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi's public claims, warning against premature judgments and highlighting the potential damage to law enforcement credibility.
Majavu says while the allegations are serious and must be thoroughly tested, the manner in which they were made has exposed deep divisions within the police service.
