South Africa’s Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) is set to host a special meeting (“retreat”) of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) at Skukuza in the Kruger National Park, Mpumalanga province.
The three-day meeting follows a resolution taken at the recent SADC Council of Ministers meeting held in Pretoria in March, where it was agreed that SADC Foreign Ministers would convene a “retreat” to reflect on the prevailing geopolitical environment and its impact on the region.
