Parliament in South Africa (SA) has continued processing the Basic Education Laws Amendment (BELA) Bill despite objections. The controversial bill aims to amend key education policies and has faced widespread criticism. During a protest action at the Union Buildings, members of the youth organisation AfriForum Youth appealed to President Cyril Ramaphosa to scrap the bill, and therefore to erase it.
