A Human Rights Watch (HRW) report says that M23 rebels in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) killed at least 140 people in the eastern DRC in July.
The report highlighted how violence remains elevated despite a peace deal underway in Qatar. Total killings in the Rutshuru territory may exceed 300, echoing similar findings by the United Nations last month. The M23 rebels say they are not part of talks which started this week in Qatar.
