The death of Cameroonian opposition leader, 74-year old Anicet Ekane has spared allegations of medical neglect after he died in detention.
His death has sparked political uncertainty and threatens to intensify the country's post-election crisis.
Ekane was the leader of the African Movement for New Independence and Democracy (MANIDEM), and was arrested five weeks ago, after backing Paul Biya's rival Issa Tchiroma Bakary who has fled the country.
