Every year on October 27, the world celebrates World Day for Audiovisual Heritage (WDAH), a day dedicated to recognising the significance of audiovisual materials in shaping our shared history and cultural identity.
The day has become a key initiative for both UNESCO and the Coordinating Council of Audio-visual Archives Associations (CCAAA), to honour professionals and institutions that help to safeguard this heritage.
