Mozambique's main opposition leader, Venancio Mondlane has arrived back in the country ahead of the inauguration of the next president.
Hundreds of his supporters gathered near the country's Mavalane International Airport in the capital, Maputo, to welcome him home.
He had left the country in October following a disputed election that has sparked months of violent protests and thrown the country into turmoil.
Outgoing president, Filipe Nyusi has invited leaders of parties that performed well during the elections for a meeting today.
