Millions flee their homes in Nigeria over clashes between cattle herders, farmers

More than 500 lives have been lost and at over 2 million people have had to flee their homes in Nigeria's middle belt because of clashes between cattle herders and farmers in the region.

The latest attack at a market in Yelwata killed around 100 people. 

Last month gunmen killed at least 20 people and in April at least 40 people were killed in neighbouring state of Plateau.
