An investigation into the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK) has revealed that, despite training provided to soldiers and control measures implemented, transactional sexual activity by UK personnel in Kenya continues to occur at a low to moderate level.

The report, which examined conduct at the base over a period of more than two years dating back to July 2022, raises questions about the effectiveness of current safeguards and oversight.
