South Africa's Minister of Health, Dr Joe Phaahla was today expected to conduct a site visit to Kalafong Provincial Tertiary Hospital in Atteridgeville, west of Pretoria, to assess the impact of sporadic protests on access to health services. The SA Jewish Board of Deputies, SAJBD has condemned in the strongest terms the hostility to migrants and foreign nationals accessing healthcare care facilities. For more on this, Thabiso Lehoko spoke with Alana Baranov, political and Social Justice Liaison at SAJBD.
