Egypt says it will formally join the case filed by South Africa(SA) against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which accuses Israel of violating its obligations under the Genocide Convention in its war on the Gaza Strip.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sameh Hassan Shoukry made the announcement recently saying Cairo intends to join the case due to escalating Israeli aggression against Palestinian civilians.

State-of-the-art AI diagnostic software unveiled GITEX Africa 2024 technology expo

South Africa is hosting the 8th SA TB Conference in Durban in Kwa Zulu Natal as part of ongoing efforts to reduce new Tuberculosis (TB) infections and deaths. The gathering is an opportunity to track progress towards achieving the 2025 targets set at the United Nations High-Level Meeting and the 2030 target to end the epidemic in line with the pragmatic End TB Strategy by the World Health Organisation. Globally, TB is still a leading cause of death from a single infectious agent and one of the greatest public health threats in South Africa. The country remains one of the 30 high-burden TB countries contributing to 87% of the estimated incident cases worldwide. Professor Norbert Ndjeka Head of National TB Program at the Department of Health has more.

Two people have been arrested for disrupting the Cape Town International Airport. They allegedly made comments interpreted as a security threat on a FlySafair flight to the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. The Airports Company South Africa says operations are back to normal. Lulu Gaboo spoke to one of the passengers, Tony Gaffane who says they were on the tarmac for nearly four hours following the bomb threat
