Defend Our Democracy is calling on South African President Cyril Ramaphosa to address the nation following damning revelations by KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Police Commissioner Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi against Police Minister Senzo Mchunu.

Mkhwanazi has accused Minister Mchunu and senior South African Police Service officials of meddling in police operations.

The movement has also called a full, independent judicial commission of inquiry into the criminal capture of the criminal justice and security services.
