South African (SA) President Cyril Ramaphosa is in South Sudan on a three day working visit. Ramaphosa is expected to receive a detailed briefing from the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit on the status of the implementation of the Revitalised Agreement on the Resolution of Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan which was signed on 12 September 2018. The agreement will expire on February 22, 2025, and must be preceded by elections in December 2024.
