Speaking at the launch of the regional Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Roadshow in Johannesburg, South Africa Moyo emphasised that the country is open for partnerships in key sectors, including housing, construction, manufacturing, tourism, and ICT.

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa has welcomed a decision taken by the SADC Extraordinary summit to withdraw peacekeeping mission troops in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

SADC has issued a notice to terminate the mandate of its military mission in the DRC and has directed a phased withdrawal of troops deployed in the country.

President Ramaphosa says the AU chairperson and Angolan President, João Lourenço will lead the negotiations to find lasting peace in the DRC.

These leaders had been invited by Angola's main opposition party, the National Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA), to participate in events marking its 59th anniversary. Despite UNITA's assurances to the government regarding the delegation's stay, Angolan authorities blocked their entry, leading to widespread concern and allegations of political interference.
