Zambia's former president Edgar Lungu has died aged 68 in Pretoria, South Africa, where he was receiving medical treatment. Lungu led the country from 2015 until losing the 2021 election to Hakainde Hichilema. Though barred from running again due to term limits, he remained politically active and critical of his successor. President Hakainde Hichilema offered condolences, urging Zambians to come together to honour Lungu's legacy. For more on this, Peter Ndoro spoke to Zambian political analyst and historian, Dr Euston Chiputa.
