Americans will cast their votes in less than 48 hours to elect their 47th President in a highly contested election between former president and Republican candidate Donald Trump and deputy president and Democrat's candidate, Kamala Harris.
A win for Harris will usher in a new era for US politics as it will be the first time is led by a woman, while a Trump win will also be a first for a candidate who was not re-elected for a second term to return to the White House.
