United States lawmakers have introduced a new bill targeting senior South African government and African National Congress officials, accusing them of aligning with America's global adversaries.
The proposed legislation, known as the US-South Africa Bilateral Relations Review Act of 2025, tabled by Congressman Ronny Jackson, aims to trigger a comprehensive review of U.S.-South Africa ties and empower President Donald Trump to impose sanctions on officials seen as supporting nations like China, Russia, and Iran.
