As South Africa celebrates 31 years of democracy, the University of South Africa (Unisa) College of Law is hosting its three-day Annual Law Conference at the Muckleneuk Campus in Pretoria. Themed "New Winds of Change in Africa: Reflecting on the Challenges of Africa in the 21st Century and 30 Years of the Post-1994 Democratic Dispensation in South Africa," the conference serves as a dynamic platform for intellectual discourse on law, society, and development across the continent of Africa.
Experts from diverse fields, including legal practitioners, politicians, economists, scientists, and civic leaders, have joined scholars and students to exchange insights on the key factors shaping the success of democracy.
To get more insights on the conference, Channel Africa's reporter Micheal Mbewe spoke with Professor Tukishi Manamela, Head: Post Graduate Studies and Research at Unisa College of Law.
