Ugandan opposition leader and pop star, Bobi Wine says he plans to run for the president position again, in the upcoming elections.

The 43 year old, born Robert Kyagulanyi has critised the international community of not speaking out more against the what he termed- gross human rights violations in Uganda. Bobi Wine is challenging long-serving President Yoweri Museveni who is expected to run again for the top position in the January 12,  2026 polls.

The Global Terrorism Index has revealed that deaths from terrorism in the West surged by 280 per cent in 2025, contrasting starkly against a global decline of 28 per cent. Several civil society organisations led by the Aids Healthcare Foundation gathered in Johannesburg, South Africa, to call on the European Union( EU) to stop blocking Health Equity ahead of the final negotiations of the World Health Organisation Pandemic Treaty. They say the treaty cannot move forward until the Pathogen Access and Benefit Sharing ( PABS) Annex is finalized.   The Annex determines how pathogen samples are shared and whether all countries benefit from vaccines.
