Hundreds of demonstrators marched to the American consulate in Johannesburg over the weekend to protest recent United States military action in Venezuela and the capture of that country's president, Nicolás Maduro.
The protests were led by members of the South African Communist Party and several trade unions, including the South African Federation of Trade Unions, or SAFTU.
