Kenyan and Ugandan rights activists recently detailed their detention and abuse during a recent trip to Tanzania. A trip to Dar es Salaam turned into a horrifying ordeal. Kenyan activist Boniface Mwangi and Ugandan journalist Agather Atuhaire were abducted from their hotel rooms, brutalised, and subjected to days of physical and sexual abuse that they say left them scarred for life. Peter Ndoro spoke to Wanjeri Nderu, President of the International Society for Human Rights in charge of East Africa, as well as Neto Agostinho, Co-Leader of the United Green Movement Party and a member of the President Maraga 2027 team.
