As the civil war in Sudan grinds into its fourth year, more than 14 million people have been forced from their homes, creating a humanitarian catastrophe that shows no signs of slowing down. Despite a fragile return to normalcy in parts of Khartoum, reports today confirm that famine conditions are entrenched in Darfur and Kordofan, while fighting continues to escalate along critical supply corridors.
