The Southern Africa Caucus of the Pan-African Parliament last Friday convened a regional workshop to advocate for member states to become state parties to African Union instruments on shared values.
The workshop sought to emphasize the need to accelerate the signing and accession processes, with a particular focus on instruments related to the Pan-African Parliament and AU treaties on human rights, good governance, democracy, and peace and security.
Channel Africa's Nhlanhla Mahlangu spoke to Senator Tony Sibandze, Eswatini Member of Parliament and Committee Member on Monetary and Financial Affairs on AU legal counsel.
