South Africa says it is ready to provide security for leaders and delegates attending the 46th summit of the Southern African Development Community, or SADC, in Durban. The two-week programme began on the 3rd of August, with ministerial and other meetings leading up to the main summit on the 17th, when regional heads of state are expected to meet.
