The South African and Malawian governments have intensified efforts to facilitate the repatriation of Malawian nationals. Officials at the Provincial KwaZulu Natal Home Affairs office in South Africa, say the continued arrival of more displaced Malawian nationals at the regional office is stretching resources. The office says about 6-thousand people have registered to be transported back home to Malawi. Over 1000 people including women and children have already left on buses bound for Malawi and more buses are expected to leave this morning (Tuesday).
