SA's Parliament Probes Claims of Corruption in Police and Justice System

In a few weeks Channel Africa will be launching a new and exciting project called Africa Matters. One of the aims of the project is to tell African stories from an African perspective by highligting some of the continent's successes and challenges. This year's focus is on climate change and how can Africa finance itself in the mitigation of the effects of climate change.

 As we countdown to the main event we are joined by Channel Africa Business Manager Dicksy Ngqula who will share more on this project in terms of its objectives and anticipated outcomes.

Human Rights Watch has raised serious concerns over a call by the Israeli military for the immediate evacuation of civilians from areas south of the Litani River.

The order affects hundreds of thousands of people in southern Lebanon and warns that anyone moving south could be putting their lives at risk. Rights groups say such sweeping evacuation calls could violate international humanitarian law, particularly if they result in forced displacement or fail to account for vulnerable civilians such as the elderly, the sick, and people with disabilities.
