Africa Matters Summit Highlights Solutions for Climate Finance and Growth

Nigeria's Acting High Commissioner to South Africa, Ambassador Alexander Tamitope Ajayi, has praised the African Matters Climate Finance Summit held in Johannesburg, describing it as both timely and critical for the continent's future.

Nigeria Urges Accelerated Green Transition at Africa Climate Finance Summit

South Africa's National Police Commissioner, General Fannie Masemola, is reportedly facing criminal charges over a R360-million police health services tender awarded to businessman Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala.

At least twelve senior police officials linked to the contract have already been arrested, with Masemola due in court on 21 April.

Earlier this year, Advocate Paul Hoffman SC from Accountability Now made a plea before South Africa's Parliament ad hoc committee investigating police corruption, urging the establishment of an independent body in line with the Constitutional Court's Glenister two judgment.
