South Africa's (SA) national parks operator, Sanparks has announced plans to bring in the private sector and communities to partner in the management of SA's national parks.

Sanparks has laid out its vision between now and 2040 in the country's city of Johannesburg on Thursday.

Sanparks announces partnership plans between private sector, communities

The 8th China Homelife South Africa (SA) is currently underway in Johannesburg. This year's edition is showcasing over 500 suppliers with 800 booths displaying nearly 14 000 products presenting an opportunity for SA importers to directly access products from Chinese manufacturers.

However some economist says that heavy reliance on Chinese products may make African economies vulnerable to external shocks and reduce their ability to develop self-sustaining industries.

South Africa's (SA) Basic Education Minister, Siviwe Gwarube says the country's education system is under financial strain and that the severe pressure would have adverse impact on the education outcomes.

Government has cut the department of Education's budget, leading to a frustration and protest from stakeholders including Teachers Unions. The Minister has blamed the looming crisis to aggressive budget cuts over the years and fiscal mismanagement.
