As the world marked International Day for the Abolition of Slavery yesterday, A Non-Government Organisation called Embrace dignity has urged the South African government to denounce and take steps to end the exploitative system of prostitution.

They propose that government end commercial sexual exploitation and pass the Sankara Equality Model of prostitution legislation, an equality model that provides a framework upholding gender equality and human rights.
