South Africa (SA) is currently hosting a Regional Dialogue on Biodiversity Strategies for the Southern African Development Community (SADC), and East African Community (EAC) Member States, underway from May 19 to 23 in Cape Town, SA.
The event, which began yesterday, is convened by the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, with support from key regional and international partners. It aims to fast-track the alignment of National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework to halt and reverse biodiversity loss by 2030.
