President Cyril Ramaphosa has told the US President Donald Trump that there was no genocide against white Afrikaners in South Africa, but a problem with rampant crime which affected all races.
US President played a video clip in front of President Ramaphosa that included South Africa's opposition political party Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema chanting the struggle song "kill the boer" to substantiate his claim that white farmers in South Africa were being targeted.
The Equality Court in South Africa had ruled the song could be sung, as it did not constitute hate speech. President Ramaphosa responded that Malema's chants were not government policy and that the Economic Freedom Fighters was a minority political party in the country.
