** The United Nations International Organisation for Migration, or IOM says people continue fleeing their homes in Sudan as fighting continues and over 1,000 civilians were killed when a Sudanese paramilitary group took over a famine-stricken displacement camp in Sudan's Darfur in April, including about a third who were summarily executed, this is according to a report by the U.N. Human Rights Office
** Escalating clashes between Democratic Republic of Congo government forces and M23 rebels in South Kivu province have uprooted half a million people and pushed tens of thousands to neighbouring Burundi
