** Former Democratic Republic of Congo President, Joseph Kabila made a quiet entry into the city of Goma on Friday from self-imposed exile. The choice of Goma, held by M23 rebels since January has elicited differing thoughts from residents. Kabila, who has been accused by the government of backing rebel groups in the east of the country, has said he wants to make his contribution to peace. What do you make of the former President's return to the DRC?
** Tunisia has handed opponents of President Kais Saied lengthy jail terms after convicting them of plotting against state security. Issam Chebbi and Jawhar Ben Mbarek of the opposition National Salvation Front coalition, as well as lawyer Ridha Belhaj and activist Chaima Issa, were sentenced to 18 years behind bars. Businessman Kamel Eltaief received the harshest penalty of 66 years in prison. Your thoughts on continuing opposition crackdown in Tunisia?
** Tanzania's main opposition party said on Saturday its leader Tundu Lissu, who has been held and charged with treason, had been moved to a different prison, a day after the party said his whereabouts were unknown. Hassan has frequently said her government is committed to upholding human rights and good governance. ** An Easter visit to fugitive Pastor Shepherd Bushiri in Malawi by MK Party secretary-general Floyd Shivambu has drawn high-level condemnation. Shivambu made the controversial visit on Friday, after which he publicly expressed his gratitude by posting on X: "Thank you, my brother, Prophet Bushiri, for hosting us and for the kind words. Bushiri, who absconded bail and left South Africa in 2020, faces serious criminal charges, including rape and financial misconduct.
