The Casual Workers' Advice Office in South Africa says xenophobia against migrant workers is intensifying in the Gauteng Province. Its been more than a month since March and March protested against illegal migrants and CWAO says the situation is still extremely serious. The office says it has recorded a number of related incidents including 112 workers who reported being dismissed, suspended or prevented from working because of work permits, asylum documents, ZEP permits, spousal visas or other immigration documentation.
