Paul Biya, is the world's oldest leader at 93 years old, he is the second president of Cameroon since 1982. Claims that Biya has appointed his son, have not been confirmed by government. The amendment indicates that the vice president will be appointed and dismissed by the president, serving for the remainder of the president's seven-year term. However, the interim leader would be prohibited from initiating constitutional changes or ​running in a subsequent election.
