View descriptionShare

Regional Environment Ministers have convened in Harare, Zimbabwe, to discuss the successes and challenges of the SADC-Transfrontier Conservation Area (SADC-TFCA) over the past 25 years. Their agenda includes topics such as climate change, the wildlife-based economy strategy, anti-poaching efforts, and vulture conservation. Furthermore, against a backdrop of decreasing global conservation funding, the summit is expected to present a unified stance emphasizing the potential negative impact of the ivory trade ban on countries like Zimbabwe.
