South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to address the nation soon on the killing of women in the country. Ramaphosa made the committment during his address at an official National Haritage celebration in the Western Cape province yesterday. He said, in the coming days he would provide update on the government's response to gender based violence against women and give progress report on the investigations on the murder of ten women whos bodies were discovered over the two months period. Nine of the bodies were found in various spots in the Ekurhuleni, east of the Johanesburg region and one was found in a river in the Soweto township south of the Johannesburg in the Gauteng province. Police have arrested three people and though they say they are not ruling out a possibility of a serial killer - the cases are being investigated independently.
