Ramaphosa-Ruto State Visit Expected to Deepen South Africa-Kenya Trade and Regional Ties

South Africa and Kenya are expected to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties as President Cyril Ramaphosa hosts Kenyan President William Ruto on a State Visit at the Union Buildings in Tshwane on Thursday. The visit comes amid growing calls for greater collaboration between Africa's leading economies. Kenyan University of Pretoria's (UP) Senior Director of Institutional Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Professor Gerald Ouma, says stronger cooperation between the two influential nations could boost trade, deepen people-to-people relations and advance regional integration, ultimately benefiting the African continent as a whole.
