South Africa’s Acting Police Minister, Professor Firoz Cachalia, says it is clear that supply chain management within the police force requires reform. Cachalia appeared before Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee, which is investigating matters of national security.

The committee was established following allegations by KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Police Commissioner, Lieutenant-General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi, of criminal infiltration, corruption, and political interference in the justice system.
