The South African government has over the past 30 years implemented legislative mechanisms to reddress gender inequality in the workplace, but even so, women still face challenges, including gender bias and stereotypes, as wella s unequal pay and benefits. However, there are suggestions that the challenges extend to gender bias on South Africa's Tax System.


With this in mind International Women's Forum South Africa (IWFSA) and WDB Investment Holdings (WDBIH)recently assembled a panel to unpack the complexities of gender disparities that increase the burden of taxation on women in the workforce.


The panel explored amongst other issues, whether the South African Tax Act is gender sensitive or if implicit biases still exist despite reforms.
