The Swaziland Solidarity Network has expressed outrage at the sentencing of former Members of Parliament Mthandeni Dube and Bacede Mabuza by the Swaziland High Court. 

In 2021, Mthandeni Dube and Bacede Mabuza mobilized support for a petition demanding political reforms and a democratic dispensation in Swaziland.

Their call for justice and democratic change was met with violent repression by the government.

Several civil society organisations led by the Aids Healthcare Foundation gathered in Johannesburg, South Africa, to call on the European Union( EU) to stop blocking Health Equity ahead of the final negotiations of the World Health Organisation Pandemic Treaty. They say the treaty cannot move forward until the Pathogen Access and Benefit Sharing ( PABS) Annex is finalized.   The Annex determines how pathogen samples are shared and whether all countries benefit from vaccines.
