A delegation of health and social services experts from Namibia have met with their counterparts in South Africa to help adopt best practices from each other that can lead to both countries providing quality health care to its citizens. 

The two-day visit was conducted at the Northwest Province of South Africa which is 60 percent rural.

The United Nations mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, MONUSCO, says conflict-related sexual violence remains widespread, particularly in the eastern provinces of North and South Kivu. A new report by the UN Joint Human Rights Office documents hundreds of cases last year, affecting more than fifteen hundred victims, most of them women and girls. Joining us to discuss what this means for regional security and civilian protection is Thomas Mandrup, Associate Professor at the Royal Danish Defence College and Extraordinary Associate Professor at Stellenbosch University.
