Namibia's President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has appointed long-serving lawmaker Lucia Witbooi as the nation's first-ever female Vice-President. Making Namibia the only African country with a female President and VIce- President.

Namibia's President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah presented a cabinet of 14 ministers, eight of whom are women, and seven deputies. She expressed confidence in her new administration saying the aim is to tackle poverty  and eradicate corruption.
